When people first meet Dianna and myself, they are usually quite surprised to discover that we are as old as we are. In truth, I turned 66 this past summer, and my young wife turned 56 a few weeks later. And yet, to look at us most people do not think of words like “retired” or “senior”. I’m not bragging – well, maybe just a little – we simply have been blessed to look much younger than we are.
For the most part, we are young at heart and enjoy life to the fullest. But, if you have read my story under the “About Me” tab in this blog, then you already know that I have battled with back issues for most of my life, and have had three spinal surgeries, which does make it a little difficult at times to enjoy doing the things I would like to do. On top of that, the back thing has kept me from making a good income on a regular basis, which means that the pension I started collecting last year is not anything to get excited about.
